Taco Del Mar Rolls into New England

A seasoned New England-area Subway entrepreneur, Brenda Bohinc, and her experienced local team will soon introduce Taco Del Mar restaurants to the area, in pursuit of a personal business opportunity and a fun, food experience. This Master Developer team is actively scouting locations, contacting franchisee prospects, and has determined Taco Del Mar's first flagship location east of the Appalachians will be in Groton, Conn.

The independent chain of Taco Del Mar is now 270 units strong and best known for its fresh, wholesome Mexican food in a quick-casual format. This emerging, North American brand is winning customer loyalty with every meal.

The Bohinc's territory consists of the Hartford and New Haven (Conn.), Providence (Rhode Island) and New Bedford (Massachusetts) markets. There are expected to be about 100 Taco Del Mar locations across the area. Doing business as TDM of South Shore New England, the company is actively screening prospects and has a first location under negotiation in Groton; the Long Hill Road location is set to open in the spring of 2008.

The Bohinc's development represents a significant milestone in extending the company's reach, locking in Taco Del Mar's Northeast expansion since its West Coast beginnings in 1992.
