(SEATTLE)--July 17, 2006--The signature “Mondo Burritos and Rippin’ Tacos” of Taco Del Mar will soon be known to the Omaha area, where Master Developer John Rosberg of Norfolk, Neb., based TDM Development will open the doors to their sixth regional location Friday, July 21. The restaurant, located at 14805 W. Maple (West Grayhawk), is franchised by Steve Barton of Barton Development of Omaha.
?We’re thrilled to bring Taco Del Mar to Omaha,” Rosberg said. “People are hungry for a fresh, vibrant but quick dining option, and Taco Del Mar with its Baja inspired menu offers a fresher, healthier alternative.”
John Rosberg, known for proliferating Nebraska area Subway restaurants with his brother Carl Rosberg, has been busy introducing big burritos in Nebraska since early last year. There are two Taco Del Mar locations in Lincoln and one each in Columbus, Grand Island, and one in Sioux City, Iowa.
Taco Del Mar is a welcome change on the quick serve restaurant landscape. Each restaurant offers mondo beef, pork and chicken burritos with a choice from four tortillas, fish tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, kids meals, taco salads, specialty Beach Tacos, vegetarian and vegan selections.
Store decor festively sets the "Inner Baja" mood with vibrant surf murals, thatched umbrellas, and long board tabletops. Taco Del Mar is found throughout the Western United States and British Columbia with 202 locations and growing throughout North America.
Co-founded in 1992 in Seattle by brothers James and John Schmidt, this West Coast innovator remains independent, unlike many burrito chains that are big burger owned and publicly traded.
