(Seattle) June 19, 2006Taco Del Mar restaurants throughout North America are kicking off summer right with a “Taco the Town” Beach Taco giveaway on Wednesday, June 21--no dinero needed!
Think of these Baja-inspired bites, called Beach Tacos, as the "sliders" of Mexican food. Served on a 4-1/2" grilled corn tortilla, choose from one of Taco Del Mar’s signature meats (or beans for the veggies out there) and then add fresh Pico de Gallo, cilantro and a squeeze of lime.
This seasonal item comes in threes as part of a combo meal for $4.99 US (served with tortilla chips, salsa and a soft drink). At all Taco Del Mar locations outside Western Washington, the promotion lasts all day long. At restaurants in Western Washington, the free Beach Taco promotion begins at 2PM.
?We’re thrilled to bring this fun event to the streets, and think it’s a good way to get more people to try our great tasting baja-style food this summer,” said Taco Del Mar Vice President of Marketing and Advertising Paul Curhan. “Beach Tacos are perfect for a quick meal on the go; they fit right in your hand and the flavor is terrific.”
Taco Del Mar features 24-ounce mondo burritos, tacos, enchiladas, kids meals, taco salads, vegetarian and vegan offerings. The store decor sets the “Baja” mood with surf-themed murals, thatched palapas, mounted sailfish, long board tabletops and tropical-surf background music.
Co-founded and launched in Seattle in 1992 by brothers James and John Schmidt, the company remains independent, unlike many “Mexi-fresh” restaurant concepts that are publicly traded or owned by big burger companies.
A West Coast-based innovator of “mondo burritos and rippin tacos,” there are 200 Taco Del Mar locations throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada. Find a restaurant near you and learn more about this hot restaurant concept at TacoDelMar.com.
